Aston Martin 4.3 V8 Vantage RS400 Package
What is proving to be a popular entry level upgrade for the 4.3 Aston Martin V8 Vantage is the RS400 Package. Mortgage Broker Simon travelled up from Devon to our facility at Greatworth Park.
Having met with David & Russell (from RS Fabrications) at the Castle Hill Car Festival, Simon found what he was looking for to upgrade his Vantage.
The entry level RS400 Package consists of RSF 200 Cell Sport Catalysts and the RSF GT4 Rear Silencers and increases power to over 400 BHP.
To say Simon was pleased would be an understatement and his accolades were greatly received by both David Appleby Engineering & RS Fabrications (see letter of endorsement here)
Simon, who is a key player in the Porsche Owners Club [funny that his preferred sports car would be an Aston] will be a good ambassador for the product and you can also contact Simon for his opinion of the RS400 Upgrade Package and our level of service!
A long term DAE customer recently purchased a brand new Mk2 Escort from Den Motorsport and after going through the car quite comprehensively we have been running it on sealed surface events across the UK . The car runs a series 2 Millington Diamond engine producing 320 BHP through a Tractive 6 Speed sequential paddle shift gearbox and is on Reiger Dampers, its fair to say every option box was ticked when building this beautiful car!

Aston Martin Vantage GT4 Chassis 068, was the car we used in the European Championship in 2011. At the start of 2012 we sold it to Steve Chaplin who did a selected number of British GT races and test days. The car then came back to us in November so we could give it a comprehensive winter rebuild before a full season assault on the British GT4 title.
Aston Martin Vantage Stage III ‘Optima’ Manifolds & 200 Cell Cats
We know the Aston Martin V8 Engine is Back Pressure Sensitive, and as with any normally aspirated engine,and the exhaust and inlet flow is critical for performance.In this Stage III System all Primary & Secondary tube dimensions have been change, mainly to equal the primary lengths, but also to increase the gas velocity through the cats, and the slip on merge collectors have spring retainers in this application.

Castle Hill Festival with RS Fabrications
Having been invited to Castle Hill in Devon for their motoring festival we took a brand new GT4 Race Aston Martin [No 93] along with RS Fabrications FEU 02 development V8 Vantage and our Aston Martin Performance Products.
Once the Stand was set up, a meeting was arranged with Aston Martin Owners Club Devon & Cornwall to discuss performance product.
The 2 Day Show was a great success, incorporating the launch of the RSF Stage III Performance Manifolds, and a steady stream of potential customers came by to talk about performance product with both David & Russell from RS Fabrications.
Orders were taken and scheduled in for installation, with web updates and results to follow, what generated the most interest was the entry level upgrade for the V8 Vantage.
This incorporated 200 Cell replacement Catalytic Converters with newly designed and manufactured Rear GT4 silencer boxes. This combination gives you in excess of 20 BHP on a standard 4.3 Vantage.
Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb with RS Fabrications
Steeped in Motorsport Racing History, Shelsley Walsh Hillclimbe is one of the oldest motorsport events in the world, and is in fact the Oldest to have been staged continuously on its original course, first having been run in 1905.
With Aston Martin Performance Product on display, a lot of interest was generated with enquires coming from Racing, Aston Martin Tuning Companies and Aston Martin Owners alike.
We also took along for only its second public appearance since being rebuilt the AMR-
Generation Bentley Racing becomes first Bentley Continental GT3 Customer
David Appleby Engineering is pleased to announce that it will become the first Bentley Continental GT3 customer team when it takes delivery of the new racecar in January. The team, which will race under the Generation Bentley Racing banner, has been formed to develop young talent in motorsport for drivers, engineers and mechanics and will compete in the British GT Championship in 2014.
Drivers James Appleby (GB) and Steve Tandy (GB) will take the wheel next year in British GT and the car is available to compete in the FIA Blancpain endurance series for interested parties. The team is keen to take full advantage of the Continental GT3's eligibility for a wide spectrum of worldwide endurance racing.
James Appleby from Banbury, initially began his racing career in the SEAT Cupra Championship in 2008. James has since competed regularly in the Aston Martin GT4 at a European level as a Junior Aston Martin Racing team driver and was presented the star of the future award by Aston Martin Racing in 2010.
Steve Tandy from Gloucestershire started his career racing classic sportscars in 2006 and is very familiar with the British GT Championship having competed for the last two seasons in the GT3 class achieving two overall wins and a multitude of podium finishes.
Launched at Goodwood in July this year, the new 1300 kg Bentley Continental GT3 race car features a 4.0 litre V8 twin turbo V8 developing 600 bhp. The new race car is based on the road-

DAE confirm attendance at Castle Hill Car Festival 2014 with Bentley GT3
Having been invited to Castle Hill in Devon for their motoring festival in 2013, we have once again been invited back and this time we will be exhibiting our Bentley Continental GT3. The Bentley will take to hill and also be involved in pit stop demonstrations (weather permitting!)

Generation Bentley Racing unveil striking GT3 Racer!
After many hours of adjustments and working with car livery design guru Matt Reeves (Matt Reeves Design),Generation Bentley Racing, the first Official Bentley Racing Partner Team, showcased its striking blue, white and yellow livery to guests and media attending the British GT Championship Media Day at Donington Park. The car will be raced by Steve Tandy and James Appleby in the British GT Championship during the 2014 season. “Keeping with the GBR theme we carry the union jack on the roof and with Blue, Yellow and Silver having been DAE colours for many years we felt it only right to continue that history and brand identity”, commented GBR driver James Appleby
